A sweet tradition from the heart of Sicily

Our most symbolic dessert. Nonna Vincenza made Cassatelle since her childhood, when she attended the workshop of her aunt Providence, a Pastry lay nun of Agira, and still today she cherishes with love the traditional recipe: soft golden-yellow pastry, sprinkled with powdered sugar and filling of cocoa, almonds, lemon peel and cinnamon. This crescent-shaped recipe evokes the unique flavours of tradiction thank to the ancient Agirine origins and Spanish influence.

Biscuit Ingredients:
all-purpose flour, fat, sugar, eggs.
The Filling :
sugar, almond, dark chocolate ( sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa paste, vanilla, soya lecithin ) all-purpose flour, semolina flour, cocoa, cinnamon, lemon peel.
